Can you pay for EQ by paypal?

If not, have they ever been asked why not?

I used to do EQ by purchasing game cards in the local store; there were four different stores that carried them. Now none of them do. The manager I talked to said "these are no longer available for us to sell."

So I suppose SOE is gravitating toward a one-and-only-one-way to purchase from them.

So it seem Macnair. You can still get game cards from their site, paying for them by credit card, and they mail it to you.. That system seems hella onerous but I suspect it is to minimize the problems with credit card theft.

I have a friend who plays MTG online, and the credit card theft purchase, then suqsequent sale of online cards is rampant.

With that said, I am surprised though that they do not have a Paypal system set up. WOW does, but they probably have a lot more international accounts, where paypal seems to be more commonly used.

Reason I am asking is a friend is on the bubble to coming back to EQ, but he doesn't use credit cards. Most of his purchases etc. are through paypal.
