I can't even begin to fathom why they require so much cash. $2500? Domain Name Renewal, Hosting and Bandwidth shouldn't come anywhere near that.

Personally I've been a bit busy giving myself a crash course in PHP and SQL because I think I can do better then EQDKP and have started writing code, so I havn't been posting much as I am spendin gmy time trying to get he logic for the various funtions worked out.

I don't get this internet pride thing people have - people would rather spend 30$ than have to deal with ads on a site they go to once every other day. The 1960's are over - no one will think less of you if you sell out to 'the man.'

Crucible and TSW (most popular class sites?) both have very managable ads, I don't even notice them anymore.

EDIT: And as far as the DKP site thing goes, my guild uses a fully custom made site, and I like it a lot. Very simple layout yet gives a lot more information than EQdkp does, and runs extremely fast. They can modify it very easily as well. For $2,500 we'll give you a copy of it.

Have you looked at ? It's a time based zero sum system which works with EQDKP. It's not perfect, but it works well for us.
