i never messed with shrouds when DoD came out, but i heard they've gone through some changes, so i'm not sure what information is accurate and what isn't, especially if there have been recent changes.
i have a level 58 sk on my second account. i shrouded him down to lvl 5 and pled him in the warrens to about 50% shroud progression, which is quite a bit of killing. unshrouded, and there was no noticable exp change on the sk.
then i did the same thing with a lvl 5 druid. the druid gained 3 levels, although the ammount of mobs killed would have probably resulted in a gain of at least 5 or 6 levels regularly, at least if they scaled up a level with each level gain.
so, i am a bit confused. my best guess is that you gain more experience the lower the level your unshrouded character is in relation to the mobs you are killing. is this correct? and if so, is it detrimental to unshroud before accumulating enough experience to level up to a multiple of 5? by that i mean, if i am level 5 unshrouded, will my experienced be applied to a level 5 character until the point at which i unshroud, or will that all be figured in sequentially when i unshroud anyway, resulting in no difference?
