I do constantly. I don't have tolerance for whiners, jerks, what have you. My favorite is when random_67_dude01 gets invited because I have a spot open late at night, and demands 2-3x that the group move to where he wants a drop/flag. Those guys get the boot with barely time for "/g you have fun with that!"

It is very rare that I group with anyone outside of my guild anymore. It is just not worth the headache. I'd rather be a person short than bring in some random person.

They provide remarkable perspective, sometimes. I recruit dps classes pretty often to fill out 4th - 6th spots.

/echo Ungkor there. It's a very rare occasion when I group with people outside of the guild. It sounds elitist, but I'm used to a high level of skill and gear in the people I raid with, and I find it's less than enjoyable to do pickup groups because the majority of the time casual players aren't able to keep up/slow down the group.

Agreed, Ungkor and Chukara. I avoid pickup groups like the plague. Every once in awhile, I'll find myself in a guild group with maybe one outsider, and that's tolerable because my guildmates can generally pick up any slack easily. That said, I have booted quite a few people out of groups without so much as "goodbye"; mostly for complete lack of skill or just being a general annoyance to the group. I have an exceedingly low tolerance for bullshit.

I used to do pickup groups all the time, but lately I've been very hesitant to join them. I've done the deband-reband thing a couple of times recently. If I don't like what's going on in a group I'll usually leave rather than ask someone else to leave.

I've definitely wanted to boot myself from groups, but never been booted, nor have I booted anyone else. Our server has a board where we keep a POMS list of the biggest scammers, retards, screw-ups, trainers, KS'ers, etc. (the Piece of Monkey Sh . . er, poop list). That a good way to filter em out. It's on our server flameboard, so there are some (a few) entertaining threads, and most of the folks have gone there to read up on it for sheer amusement value. Normally the real retards start finding themselves unable to get guilds or groups, and eventually transfer or quit or restart and not be such an asshat.

My personal pet peeve is when I get an invite for a DoN and they are either anon/role, or have the 1 level 70 person doing all the recruiting. I don't like to group with a bunch of 65s or 66s, because I tank the whole time, or it takes forever to finish. I was kinda steamed when one group of lowbies were looking for another person and I told them I had a very well geared 70 ranger friend lfg, but they decided that a 63 warrior alt of a friend was a better choice (the friend didn't want to play their 70 druid, apparently). I almost dropped at that point.

My other pet peeve is premature evacuation! Darn newbie evac classes!

I usually do a guild group exp session once or twice a week and rack up 10+ AAs each trip, but I also group with newbies some too. I don't want to get too elitist, plus it keeps our guild in the mind of newer folks when it comes time to recruit again. Always be nice, make a good impression, and help those that need it. Makes the game that much more friendly, and helps you out in the long run. People remember good players and guilds. That kind of PR is worth gold! (maybe pp!)
