I've just came back to EQ from a very long break and I was wondering about a couple of things.

When I first created my iskar shaman I choose that race because it gained extra health regen (albeit a small one). But I recall as a result it levelled slower.

I'm just wondering if that is still the case? It seems to me if it is it's a little outdated these days with the AA's and gear to suffer XP loss.

If I was to change my race, would all my faction hits reset to zero?

It's removed since long. Stay Iksar if you wanna stay Iksar

No idea on faction. Google seems to indicate your factions stays largely the same except deity stuff.
