I had some serious problems with Dain3, right after they altered it... then a few weeks ago someone showed me another way to do it, and we succeeded 3 times in a row.
The strategy is to let the dwarves offtank all the adds, and only focus on named, in every wave...
We kept the dwarves at base, dain in corner by zoneline and the rest of us on the guardhouse/hill behind the dwarf army. When a wave is incomming 1 warrior goes and pulls it
through the dwarf-army, so
all the dwarves agro right away. Rest of us hold for 20 seconds or so, to let the dwarves get agro, then we engage the named.
Clerics use HoT alot, but mainly CH. By HoT'ing the puller at the right time, you can make him survive without cleric getting agro from adds. As I understood it, it was ok if puller died, but he never did on our 3 runs. Amazingly 90% of our army lived through wave 4... almost 100% survived first 3 waves...
[EDIT]
I lost all rolls on augment and quest-piece... unlucky day i guess
