Gear help for a lowbie shaman?

Ok, so I recently made a new shaman to hopefully one day box with my monk, been working on getting him a bit twinked ..

Most if not all of the stuff he gets will be farmed by my 68 monk, (there are a few exceptions, where my friend was after a Kael bracer and helped me kill some stuffs in Kael for him)
Mainly now I was working on getting him leveled, but now hes 25 and Im gonna work on alchemy while I farm a new ring for him..http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=1643 is what I plan on getting him

Any suggestions would be nice, Only thing I dun really wanna do is a Fungi..Mainly because I can't afford it but also because I dun know my way around Seb and not sure if I could solo it heh
