Question concerning detrimental spell extension.

In doing so I lost the focus effect on my Tattered Cloak which was Affliction of the Dragorn (increase detrimental spell duration by 15%) which I enjoyed having due to the fact I thought it was giving me an extra tic on my DoTs.

I enjoy solo root rotting as well as adding dps with my DoTs in groups. Now that I have removed my Tattered Cloak I hate the feeling I have thinking I am not getting an extra tic on my DoTs when I cast them.

Perhaps I am being anal about this but I like being efficient and one extra tic can sometimes add up to some nice dps if they all crit for me.

I suppose what I would like to know is what everyones opinion is on me losing that little extra umph I had while using my Tattered Cloak and if it should be a big deal or not. I do not worry about the extra duration on slow or malos but having my DoTs go from 36 seconds to 30 seconds just bugs me.

Is there some focus out there that I can get a hold off that can give me back my extra tic on my DoTs? I have been digging around in Allkhazam and Lucy but have not had much luck finding exactly what I am looking for.

Any help and thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

swap it out while root rotting, in a group, dont worry about the extra tick too much
