Ok, I'm stuck and looking for some help on two gear decisions.

1st:
I currently have two neck items I'm carrying around and I'm not sure which I should be using.

+ = 160hp/250mana, FT5, 20% Detrimental Mana Preservation (67)
or
+ = 200hp/265mana, FT3, 3% Dot Shielding

My thoughts: The FT loss is a non issue at the moment since I don't have the AA's to go past FT 15 done yet and am over the cap already. I have 15% Mana Preservation (70) from the aug on my boots so I don't totally lose Mana Preservation if I switch. The hp boost and 3% Dot Shielding look very tasty to me. I lose a massive amount of Fire Resist on the switch (40) and would drop my Fire Resist below 250, I'm not keen on that idea. What do you think I should do?

2nd:
I have the mold and parts for my 2nd Kanleku's Bracer in my bag. It is superior in every way to my except that it is my Extended Range Item. Should I make the swap now and go without extended range for a bit? If so, what extended range items should I be looking for (Guild is working Tacvi/MPG Trials). If not, should I be swapping them (huge pain in my ass) or just waiting to find Extended range on another slot before I upgrade?

Extended range on Tri-Spined Spaulders of Destruction, from Trial of Destruction at Projection of Power in MPG. Definately make your Kanleku bracer.

Wear your Clockwork Talisman. DoT shielding, higher hp, higher ac. Your boots are actually more mana pres on Blood of Yoppa (our most expensive detrimental spell) than your neck, due to level scaling, and only 1% (meaningless) less on Curse of Ssislak. If you solo a lot, you should be tributing Affliction Efficiency V anyhow.

The real neck you should be looking at is Necklace of Grimspirit Beads from Circle of Drakes event. It's a pure dps test that Tacvi/MPG raids should be able to pass.

Guild can and does do drakes. Problem is that they do it as off-night raiding and not on official raid nights. I am limited on my play-time so attending non-pointed raids (loot still gets charged) doesn't make the most sense for me at the moment. Maybe down the road.
