The Spirit Realm

Hi. I have no Magic Damage focus; the closest thing is BA5 on my time pants that I swap in when I'm going to be dotting (also detri haste on time belt in same situations). We are currently taking out Ture (and most of Anguish) on heavy rotation; we haven't tried Vishimtar yet.

Question: how would you value the Aegis of the Dragorn Elders against the Skull of Vishimtar? How rare are each? Would you suggest going all-out for whichever I can first, or do they usually get farmed until rather cheap? I'm not in a rush, but I do want to obtain some L70 Magic focus in the next few months... is there something else I'm overlooking?

ps, I'm getting good and tired of everything having Screech on it.

Aegis is a stopgap, imo. If you're not hard up, Skull is WAY preferrable. Also available at this point are Bazu Stones, which can be made into Anguish-level armor pieces (hands, feet, bracers in particular, since those Ritualchanter's pieces are weak) with Anguish level foci of choice. If Titans is taking out Anguish guys, you should also be farming Matriarch Shyra and Council of the Nine raids (possibly Bloodeye, depending on how many of your melee are fitted out with 2.0s for dps). If you go for the Bazu Stone option, you free up secondary slot for the shield from Emperor Draygun, or a superdiscount Shield of the Planar Assassin, for which you generally only have to compete with rangers :p

As for Screech, the conflicts have seriously gone away a lot since the Werewolf Skull quest was introduced. It upgrades and supplants the Form of Protection clicks, and stacks with Screech buffs, leaving only the choice between ac & hp. Regen really need not apply. Either of those is a reasonable choice, so since you have the hp clicky, you can deprioritize an ac click. If you pick one up incedentally via the Skull, then you use it for exp, and hp on raids. nbd, really.

In the larger picture, if a shaman managed to acquire a Ward click (Quarm Ring, Uqua Cloak only options unless the datamined Mayong loots actually drop), then the choice becomes even easier. Ward doesn't stack with Form of Defense clicks (ac buff conflicts in the traditional fashion without "screech" nonsense), it does stack with Form of Endurance. So without any question, with any/everything available, Ward+Endurance is the choice. (+Aura of Pure Arcanum, natch')

i have tures shield, its way more common for us than vish shield and the focus isnt that different. clicky form of defence 3 would be nice, but that would mean no form of endurance HPs... so for me aegis of dragorn elders is a great fit atm

So, to have custom gear and focuses I need to:

1) buy Cultural armour for a Barbarian that follows The Tribunal (or get it made by a smither), is it tradable?

2) buy / make / get guild Trade skillers to make pieces of the Augment combine, are these tradable?

3) Combine Augment pieces, is it no fail?

Sorry, I know I could probably scourge Allakazams for the cultural pieces, then manually add the Augs to that to see if it comes out better then Anguish gear ... I am assuming the only combinations that are better (HPs / mana wise) are the Blood Stones + Cutural pieces ....

Considering Poison focus is difficult to get, and the Anguish bracers aint that flash, I may considering 2 Cultural Bracers for Poison / Disease or Poison / Cold (assuming I can be lazy and get somebody else to do the lower combines, if all I need to do is the final non fail combine) ....
