I cannot guarantee that I am correct. I am still fairly new
But I expect if he is not careful, and uses all of the ammo. he will be loosing that aug.
As it is. It is probably a mistake that an ammo item has an augment at all. So there is a CHANCE that that augment slot may go away. He will probably want to re-claim his augment and place it elsewhere.
Is he actually putting an augment on the ammo or the starfish?

ok, this link actually shows the stars as having type 7, not type 4 as I thought he had told me. However the question still remains, can he place a type 7 or all/all augment on these and not lose the aug if he screws up and runs out of ammo.

I could be wrong here, but I dont' believe you get any stat increases from your ammo slot anyway. Why would you put an aug in it at all?

Also note that this is a thrown item. Meaning you must have it in your RANGE and AMMO. The increase comes from the RANGE slot because he must un equip his Drachnid Exoskeleton for either a bow or these throwing stones. The stones have nice stats already, but would be better with an augment.

I'd do this: Get a low level, all slot aug from an ldon, and aug it as a test. What would really be neat to find out is do you need to aug each and every thrown weapon, or just one aug for an entire stack...

Either way it's still required to have it in the STAT bearing slot
