For exp groups, no amount of raw mana replaces enhanced mana regen. For boss fights in a raid, it's pretty easy to calculate. Over 5min, you get 50 ticks to regen mana. That's 100 mana. So for a 5 min fight, 100 mana replaces ft2. For a four hour exp group, it takes *4800* mana on one item to replace ft2.

Get the DoN bracer and put a FT aug into it. At some point even very casual players will reach the FT cap.

Used to be (pre-panther) that many shaman playstyles would leave you nearly Full Mana (or at least not low enough to use canni 5) unless things went bad in the group and you had to step up to fill in roles of people who died (tank, healer, puller whatnot). Nowadays though with the increased mana use and potential to actually run completely OOM before Spiritual Channel is up again I have to agree that there is NO replacement for FT outside of raids. However while raiding I'd max out theHP/AC if you are running slows, FT is useless if you are only alive for 5 minutes at a time

Depending on where you are. A raider taking a lot of hits and AE's need HP, AC, Shielding, Avoidance and resists. If you are a casual player who usually dont do extreme things, then its very nice to have, believe me. Last month i went from 1 to 18 FT and it does help a lot.

well since its a cleric who is realy asking the question, i would have to agree, sell your mother for more FT.

if it were a shaman asking, I woulda justt said it depends on your play style...or its about to adjust your play style.
If your casting a heal on youself to recover hps from canni, you really need to look into 1) more hps, 2) more regen, and 3) making healing potions. any one of the 3 is far better than wasting mana healing yourelf after a canni...unless you sit in the 4k hp range of course, then you really should be using torpors or something to not be a low hp agro target if you get hit. as it stands for me, canni5 and ancient canni take me to 80%...max worn regen, max aa regen, perseverance and MMM regen it back rather quickly
