Thanks, Tor. I'm thinking that the Basilisk Hide Shield is one of the best in game, maybe as good as or better than the Vish or Ture shields? At least the best a shammy can get pre-Tacvi/Anguish, as Scarlet Phoenix is atm. (Although in a month or so we should break into them, having Inktuta beat and 3 of 6 MPG trials...)

I mean, at 120 SHIELD AC with an aug, how can you beat it?

Yeah I think that's a pretty tasty shield. One of our Shaman is dying for it! I have to say I like my Aegis of the Amber Moon. That might get upgraded when we go pay Vishimtar a visit, but I haven't decided.

Beats Hanvar shield on ac, but lacks the 15 avoid. Beats Ture on all stats, but lacks a useful focus. Only tops Vish based on 5ac, otherwise loses vis-a-vis stats, focus, click. Just like Shyra's other loot, cr8zy good for the difficulty.

Not for secondary slot. 20ac is the best a shm can do for his shield. Of note, there is a new 20ac aug with 30hp for secondary, from Kithicor zombie MM, but it's type7. A good fit possibly for pre-elemental shm rockin along with the shield from the (also new) Coldain MMs, or a droppable whatever.

It is sham equippable in the secondary slot accordding to also there is a 20 AC 80 HP aug from antraygus the spore king, sham secondary equipable, Heart of Darkhollow Wilds

Grats on the kill. I got that shield when it rotted on a Shyra raid (most people had Anguish/DoN stuff and didn't want it) while I was on trial with my current guild. It served me well, until I got the 15 avoidance one, which is what I use now. Unfortunately, unless you're solo'ing mobs that do not summon, the benefit from the focus is quite limited compared to the 15 avoidance one. Still, quite a nice bit of AC on it. Grats again.

Sorta confused by what brohg said, might of misunderstood, but Vish shield is 5 ac over shyra shield. Also I personally think the focus is better since I never use disease dots but do use magic dot quite a bit...then again i have no disease focus so that might be why (but i use poison and i don't have a poison foci either). On top of that the 80ac instant clicky from vish makes it simply amazing. The clicky can also be used from inventory making it an item you will be using for a long time even if you get a 200ac 500hp shield tomorrow. Gonna be a while before I upgrade it, and even longer before I bank it. The only thing the shyra shield really has over vish is 5 regen.

Don't get me wrong tho, the new shyra shield is a very nice shield. And I cong you on the new upgrade~

Oh, and btw - was changed, and it's now classified as a shield. It didn't any other stats.
