Is the Epic 1.5 soloable with a Merc Tank?

HI all,
I just got back into EQ with being away for a few years. I wanted to get my Epic 1.5 but i'm wondering if it is even possible solo being level 70 with a Journeyman 1 Merc tank?

Level 85 with a merc tank.. maybe..

I know one of the biggest pieces you will need to deal with is the Swarmfiend...and he is not the easiest mob to kill. I would definetly bring a few friends.

I just recently 2 boxed most of this with my warrior and 2 cleric mercs. Swarmfiend seemed impossible, mercs kept running out of mana. Added a rogue, and bard (friends) and it went pretty smooth. We were all around 73 at the time, the bard was 85 however.

anytime there is an opportunity to do something stupid (like snuggle up to a mana draining, or stunning mob) you can count on mercs to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
For example, if you VP something that is the one the merc tank will jump on. I always imagine them saying 'omg ! it's getting away!!!'
