I use /mem LOTS. I took some time to figure out how to maximize all 10 spellsets. Ended up with half my spellsets being single spell change-outs, for maximum flexibility and minimum hassle.
/mem p
2. panther
/mem r
2. root
/mem g
2. gate
/mem md
7. malicious decay
/mem c
9. cripple
Then there are the utility mini-spellsets.
/mem trav
2. levi
5. bih-li
8. self-invis
9. other invis
/mem rebuff
2. wunshi
7. fort
9. sense
My group buff spellset has pup on slot 1, to speed up refresh time and remind me to cast him first to receive grp buffs. I also chose to leave canni up.
/mem grp
1. pup
2. grp regen
3. grp wunshi
4. grp fort
5. grp agility
6. Infusion of Spirit
7. grp haste
8. canni
9. Bih Li
The 2 main workhorse spellsets I tailor to the particular camp. They will usually be identical except for 1 or 2 spells, so that I can flip-flop between m1 and m2 and have 10 or 11 working spells. This allows me, for example, to mem Idol of Malo and/or Malicious Decay, etc. just before the pull, then switch them out for a rain or another dot as we engage. Alternately, I'll switch out slot 9 Champion with the rain/nuke.
/mem m1
1. Malos
2. (panther)
3. HOT
4. Curse
5. BoD
6. quick heal
7. (poison dot)
8. canni
9. (rain)
/mem m2
1. Malos
2. (panther)
3. HOT
4. Curse
5. BoD
6. quick heal
7. (Malicious Decay)
8. canni
9. (Idol of Malos)
For raids, m1 and m2 can be very different.... one heavy with cures (usually m2), and the other with extra slows and/or debuffs.
I still occasionally use click-haste, very often click-root, and lots of click-slow. I also tend to BANDOLIER very, very often:
all on hotbank 3 ===>
1. SLOW (time's antithesis)
2. MELEE (Hammer of Hours)
3. Quick Heal (Goad of the Just 25% quick heal haste, coupled with range item switchout which has Ext. Range 5 item, and all this tied into ONE quickheal hotkey (#6 in hotbanks 1 and 3) so that hasted and ranged cast of Yoppa's, with Spam, take effect for crisis heals) [shift 2, 0 is self targeted quick heal panic button]
4. Snare (Hammer of Spiritcalling, snare potions in range and ammo)
The best solution is not either/or, but best-of.
