I didn't imply that there should never be another level increase. But I believe a level increase every year is faster than we need.
Raiders are bored? Fine, give more stats and better focus effects, whatever. Add new spells for existing levels.
LDoN was a great expansion. It didn't increase the level cap or raid gear, but it gave the non-hardcore-raiding crowd something to log in for, and a way to cumulatively get decent gear, but earn it in 30 minute intervals. That model might be familiar if you think about it. Most raiders were still challenged by PoP, except for the what, two guilds per server farming PoTime for clickies and BPs.

That's not right, Sam. LDoN introduced twenty whole new slots for gear as well as the (very time consuming) means to fill those slots.

Ah, yeah. So it was an across-the-board gear increase.

It seems to me LDoN was a developer expansion, not a player one. The new mechanics of alternate currency, augments, instanced zones were all a really big deal. Content was pretty thin, but I suppose they were busy planning the ALIEN INVASION that came in GoD...
