So, with Beta going for a week so far, what has happened? Pretty much nothing. The only change - and it's a good one, to be fair - is to Pack:

Pack of Wurt (upgrade to Aina) has been massively changed. It now only affects nukes and DoTs from level 80 to 90 (Aina is all up to L100, subject to a min cost of 10 mana). The big news though is that it now doesn't drain any mana every tick.

The proc itself now costs 270 mana, which is (IMO) a much more satisfactory outcome. I'm seldom LOM on grouping, so this will make a nice little DPS booster. If you're unable to cast any nukes etc for a while (maybe you're having to spamheal for a bit) then you won't lose any mana at all. What a result!

That change means I'll be using it pretty much constantly in groups (languid bite is handy for gauranteed DPS, but it's not up all the time).

To our beta shamans: Is there any way to change the pets into a Dot or outright DD? These mini-pets are so annoying in raid situations!

Sidebar: you guys are totally free to discuss, but keep in mind that the conversation is one-way with regards to shm who are in beta now, as they, unlike the original poster here, are now bound by NDA. So, like, don't expect positive, negative, or sideways feedback regarding these spells from them. They might, theoretically, be bursting with mind blowing and revolutionary changes to spoil, or tales of devastating and mind crushing incompetence to share... or neither of those. Probably neither. Beta testing usually can't be characterized as exciting & drama-filled. No matter the case, they just cant.

Gotcha, the only beta I've ever participated in clearly called out that identifying your participation publicly was a violation. Good to hear SOE is on the side of sanity.
