Perhaps that is true, just I am quite sure that there are other situations that are nice for it

on a note: If I am going OOM on a mana drain, I usually canni how much mana I need and spend it, which granted might not be steller for the clerics we would most likely be dumping our mana pools into.

What could make it exceptionally good is if they flagged it something like "Project Illusion" and just let you directly canni V into someone's mana pool, which would help alleviate some of the "uber" shaman's concerns that their mana regen is enough, so they don't need an increased Canni. This would allow essentially, your canni utility to scale with your gear when you become less reliant on it, you can use it to help others in your group. I would hesitate to ask for it to be able to be used on our spell canni though, because it would reduce us to twitch bots, I'd rather just see it be a quick jolt to the mana pools.

there would be a few times i could think of where that ability could be effective. I'm not saying its a bad idea tho.

They could upgrade the Potion of Vampiric Spirit tho....thats for another thread or wishlist i guess tho

I have no doubt the ability would be effective, the problem would be tailoring it to shaman so as to not step on necromancers toes. Class warfare is not something we want to start with a class that doesn't consider us competition atm, we get enough of it from the beastlords, enchanters, druids and clerics.

Unfortunately I was a little slow thinking of it, but honestly I would like to get it added into our Top 10 SOMEWHERE to replace the canni spell line with a canni AA so that we can quit worrying about spell recast delays on all of our other spells while trying to canni back mana.

I don't mean upgrading canni 5 (though it could use it) I mean an AA that does almost exactly Pained Memory or canni 4 conversion with the same recast as whichever of the 2 is selected (or a touch longer to make up for being more useful to us, but no more than 1.5 times as long). This would let us canni while spellgems are greyed out from a slow or a heal, and then immediately cast another spell when canni is done firing.
