It is rumored that the 'voice' of Tallongast was to be the chime we are looking for to enter the Plane of
Music. Now that you have the Egg of Tallongast, Ao thinks you should hatch it. To do this he sends you to the
Laboratory. Once again head south and zone into Skylance. Go up the ramp to the second portal and enter
the lab.
To start the event place the egg on cursor and hit use while facing the table in the center of the room.
You will get a red emote (uses 'other' filter) and 3 mobs spawn on the upper walkway. They are KoS and
will respawn. If you stay in the very center, you can avoid drawing agro. The emote you get corresponds
to one of 8 panels in the room, you must activate the panel that goes with the emote. Correctly doing so
spawns another mob that roams the upper hallway and gives the next emote. You need to do 8 emotes to hatch
the egg. Failure to match the emote causes a zombie to spawn, and resets your progress to 0 emotes causing
you to start over. The emotes match as follows:
When you complete the 8th emote, Tallongast the Discarded spawns on the table. He hits near 2k with
significant hps. If you haven't been clearing the trash be VERY careful of push or you'll get swarmed under
very quickly. Killing him results in 'a tarnished chime' appearing in your inventory. You will also be awarded
one of the level 70 PoR spells. On his corpse you will find one of these items:
