Lol, it's not that much work, Utpang. They actively advertise availability and prices (plat, accounts, pl'ing, whole deal), that's their business. They also have open lines of communication with their suppliers. Not to be repetetive, but that's how business operates.
As to the rest, there are several legit farmers in my own guild on my own server. (If you're curious, I define legit farmers as those who use their characters to kill mobs for loot to sell in a systematic fashion). These folks have playtime that could easily be called extreme, that's how farming works. At the high end, they naturally compete with each other, but theirs is a pretty tight & defined community, across guilds, and even across servers. Each of them is by neccessity very aware of the others, since they form the supply base of Everquest economies.
Addressing the thread in general:
If you don't believe this poster, get counterinformation. He hasn't linked his sources because it could be considered advertising and be shot down by mods, but I'm sure he'll provide you with plat/account sellers' web url's by PM if you ask.
I'm quite surprised at the vehemence that's displayed here in the effort to ride this guy down, who doesn't seem to have done anything but point out a potential problem with the game y'all love. If he's wrong then he's wrong, but no one has attacked his points at all, only cast unveiled aspersions on his character (irl). Man up, bitches, and back up your crap, or pipe down.
