So, if I combine my emperor horse with the barding.. I get an emperor speed war horse right? I'm not gonna even consider it until I know for sure.

Valsuvious, that is my understanding. I'm not sure I want to do that myself, but I certainly won't entertain the idea until after some brave soul goes first.
Now it's just possible that Emp/Seru horses might get something special, and if that's the case, maybe I will. But I want to see it done first, and see what the outcome is. I figure we could at least get gold barding instead of that MLP stuff.

Devs have definitely posted that you could combine any existing horse with the bridle for same-speed warhorse, and that you couldn't do anything (bar sell back and re-buy horse) for drogmors. While I've not seen anyone do it first-hand, they've definitely said it!
