Well, I finished a Magelo profile today, so you all could look and offer equipment suggestions. Please remember though, that Augments? didn't even exist back then, so I know nothing about them. How many you can have, how they work, etc. So please bear with me, and fully explain your gear options. Thanks!

quite the blast from the past on equipment there 
How much plat do you have? Do you want to spend cash or camp things? Do you have a regular group you do things with? Will you be doing things mainly on a pickup group basis, or solo?
All those things can help people give you more realistic gear advice.
In addition, I would encourage you to check out the equipment forum.

and the Shaman Gear pull down menu on the top of every page.
Forget everything you knew about equipment in the past.
Now you need to focus on boosting your hitpoints, and as you approach 70, picking up your important focus effects. As you boost your HPs, your other important stats (AC and mana) will rise naturally.
Watch the bazaar, if you have plat. There's tons of items for under 200pp that would upgrade most of you slots.
Augments will probably come for you later, as you get towards 70 and start doing things like DOD tasks (depths of darkhollow) or DON tasks (Dragons of Norrath). Don't worry if you don't have any (or have very few) for a while.
