You might be able to, but fill that group out and it's a quicker, easier fight.

You just kill the black dire and loot the black fur boots off of him.

Edit: I hate it when my memory is faulty.

The Black Dire drops the Black Dire Pelt that has to be turned in to get the boots.

Help pls. I went and killed the black dire wolf. and he dropped the pelt. i went to Emerald jungle and tried to do turn in to the sentinal , but no luck. gave messege i needed to prove myself to there cause. Is that the mob i need to turn pelt into ? seems i need faction. if so where do i get this faction? im stumped and hate to have to do half the 1.0 to do prequest. Thanks

Cannot do prequest or 1.0 currently (unless I missed something I doubt it though) tried to do 1.0 got stuck on ooglyn checked multiple day's a few time's a day this npc is not spawning. So at that point I figured oh well, I will just do prequest anyway since finding golem's up would be a pain anyway. So I killed black dire then tried to do hand-in, I forgot prehail's and stuff so I went and fixed that and was on my way until I went to EJ and Spirit Sentinel didn't respond to hail's or turn-in faction is only amiable so that may be the problem.

Edit: Redid the first step til I got kindly and turn in worked, Didnt respond to hail's still but got boot's.
