As for handling wave 3, I'd suggest you offtank 3 of the risens and split 3 of them and have the vengefuls mez'd. When things appear to be steady, start killing one vengeful/enraged/enraged/enraged at a time. When you start running low on vengefuls have a warrior+a dps split a new risen and mez those vengefuls.

Limit yourself to roughly 6 vengefuls. Any more than that and things start getting confusing.

"Deal with pvp moving to zones" heh that's pretty much a non-issue for est/pst based guilds to. And all raids in dod except Vule(at which we were trained even though we're in such a far away timezone!) are instanced.
We aren't gearing up 70+ people? I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean. You think we have less than 70 members? You think we don't have people coming and going? Gearing up is an ongoing process for any guild.

Hmm let's see where to begin, 1. for megalo being accurate , I point to the little symbol in the top left that says "authentic" which means I use magelo updater to update my profile. 2. as for AC augs, I have 3, but I don't have a lot of money in bank to go switching around 2k+ pp augs on a whim. Also, I've done rss more times than I can remember, ac/queen camps (my group used to bounce back and forth, and I've seen 1 drop). 3. As for getting this gear or that gear or whatever, the elemental still has good ac in the grand scheme of things, and the luclin neck still has good ac as well. 4. I don't upgrade my gear with anything I can snatch up, I have a loot plan, I follow it. 5. As for mpg trial stuff, if alla is correct, and I'm guessing it is given how old OoW is as an expansion... Are you seriously suggesting that I "upgrade" to anything out of mpg trials? Everything that is paladin useable from there (I excluded raid drops cause well, my guild doesn't do raid trials much anymore, I was lucky to get the legs) is a downgrade. I have 1 piece of luclin gear and 2 pieces of elemental, and you're telling me that's enough to make me shitty? I have like 8 raid drops most of which are the highest ac/shielding for the zones/mobs we're farming and the stuff that isn't raid drops besides the 2 pieces of elemental and 1 piece of luclin gear is single groupable dod gear which is basically on par with qvic (if you want to argue this fact , look at my bracers, one is qvic the other is dod group) .. or do you need your eyes checked, or did you just come here to insult me brohg?

My point, Ashremx, is that if taking the hits is the issue, then upgrading gear is the answer. And yes, every bit counts. Having a shit-hot shoulder isn't enough to make the rest of your gear not matter. Nor does "I had a little bad luck with drops in the past" make 25ac augments not matter. If you want to tank the highest end content you can, you pursue upgrades. 5x Shard of the Guardian, 4x Flameshield Stone, Steelward Stone, Diamond Encrusted Historical Seal, all the 30ac augs in game. Yes, the 10ac upgrades (that happen to come with 75-80hp each, too) going from Elemental armor to Qvic. +2% shielding from the MPG neck, with +85hp and an aug slot. +5ac on two other slots from MPG trial jewelry, along with +50hps on those slots. You have half a dozen aug slots that are just empty. Others that might as well be~. Bitching about how hard a mob hits when you're not even close to geared up for that content invites derision, imo.

To answer a question you asked directly, no one slot makes you suck, or can make you suck, like a rogue without a piercer or something. But neither can your few really high end pieces make you own, such that anything that kills you must be unbalanced.
