Get the shaman to 70. Level is king for all kinds of things, it unlocks so many spells for you and all the resists are based on vs level.

Group the Shaman and the SK in general IMO.
Champion and Panther are your friends. Panther the SK, and both pets. (1 hotkey can do this)
with an SK tank you can skip the defensive AA's on the shaman, as the SK will hold aggro pretty much flawlessly. Get 300AA or so useful stuff first then get defensive AA's

DoD has lingering sloth spell, very good spell.
PoR has nectar of agony, excellent DoT and a nice group HoT.

If you're not needing to canni AT ALL, like you're saying, then you are NOT using your shammy to the most. Even if you are just botting him, he is much more than a chanter with heals... Your best contribution with the shammy can be DPS. Done right including DOTs, DSes (don't forget stackable Ro's Breath and shammy DS potions), panthers, pets, rains, buffs, you can about double your SK's lone DPS, which means cut your kill time in half. And that also includes pulling 2 or 3 mobs with the SK and VP punt-parking one to the side to keep it on ice to maximize chain killing.

Boxing on one PC might have you concentrating on tanking the SK, but that's where careful tuning of hotkeys comes into play. You should be able to kill XP mobs under a minute, so that leaves 3-4 ALT TABs over to the shaman to either manually cast a spell or 2 or to hit some hotkeys:

Manual cast:
HOT, quick heals
VP

Hotkeys:
invite SK, do panther, then disband shammy
cycle panther on SK, SK pet, puppy (done before engage)
assist/send puppy

pile on 2 DOTs per mob (Nectar of Pain and Curse of Sisslak)
Yoppa's Rain x 2 (AE rain)

Also, until you get Pet Affinity to Champ pet, I'd use Avatar + Diaku + Wunshi to max its DEX for proc goodness (use Spirit of Leopard until you get Panther). Done right, you WILL be needing to cast canni a lot.

/agree Jara, if you're not using at least the cannibalize AA, you're not using your shaman.

So Quintaz has over 35 FT, much of which is being unused. Did you know that Pained Memory can return 120 FT max? Even at half effectiveness, meaning you can't cast it every 18s but manage to hit it at least once every 36s (once a battle), that alone is 60 FT, on top of all other mana regens (med, OOC regen, buffs, worn FT)...

Pretend your shammy has unlimited mana... which spells would you be casting then?

But I'm guessing your shammy's mana bar is near full all the time anyway. So then the issue is not mana itself, but the lack of using any of it.
A shaman at full health and full mana almost all the time is not much better than an AFK buffbot, or a timid druid or chanter.

ok, thx for the detailed advice. seeing your description of what to do i can see i didn't work my shammy hard enough. i had been pulling with my snare, running to camp, letting the shammy cast putrid decay, (i have been using windowed mode, is that inferior) switching to sk and dotting again and sending my sk pet in and hitting attack (two agro dots and using a Jagged Pureblade with a faerie hexstone for an aug to hold agro while on shammy), sending in the shaman pet and casting the 65 shaman slow, switch to sk and cast both bites( steals hp and mana for all in group, including all pets with pet affinity), cast leopard, blood of saryn and breath of wunshi. then i would stay on shammy for the most part, using my lifetaps as i have magic increase focus of 35% on my sk and all the dd damage crit aa there are. with this setup my shaman rarely went below 75% mana, because when on my sk, my bites and using my morguecaller are good for 30ft easily and i fight outdoors so the shammy is in ooc regen while i go pull. if i need to fd split it is fm when i get to camp. i'll start throwing in poison spears all i can.
i want to make sure, the shammy is a blue from 68, that leveling is the best idea?? i can duo in RCoD and WoS rather well so i fear getting the levels to aquire the added dps may not be worth the loss of xp gotten by a 67 shaman. if you all are certain that being 70 is worth the difference in dps and not change how fast quintaz will get aa xp i will go fot it, .

I quite often duo my SK/shammy. With your AA, you should be able to duo MPG as long as you avoid nocs (rampage kills). Once the shammy is 70, you should be able to do RSS or 69.1hard instances. At 70, you might consider grinding some AA on the shammy, but I would definitly grind regular exp till then for the spells.

Your shammy is WAY overcap on FT. Swap out the FT augs for some HP. The FT is doing no good presently.

I'm not sure how the exp is, but you may want to spend some time in Arcstone for the armor quest drops there. The aren't too expensive and are pretty decent till the shammy can wear TSS/TBS gear.

I second the suggestion to at least get to 70 for the spells too. At 69 you can get Balance of Discord. That would be very beneficial in your situation. Then you can go to RSS and pick up some nice augs too (70hp in each ear/finger - or mana if you'd prefer).

Cannibalization AA is so nice as a main and most bots I know if it's one of the first ones they get too. At 68 you get Pained Memory too, which makes a difference for a bot - it's a big bite every so often instead of having to mash canni constantly to get mana back, which really isn't practical 2 boxing.

Oh, and get hold of some magic DoTs too to get some use from that mana! 64 is Bane, it's a LDoN spell, but researchable now. 69 is Curse of Sisslak, worth getting both of these to stack. With those two, you'll notice the improvement in DPS.
