trying to pass a trial in PoJustice....

i was a monk at the time so it was a catch-22 situation... i didnt have the weaponry to make my dps desirable...but i couldnt GET that weaponry until i had passed trial and gotten access to higher planes 8(

i spent 238 (yes i kept track) hours on that GODDAMNED platform

any possible way i could fail to get a trial win...you name it..it happened
cleric go ld in middle of trial? check
tank go ld in middle of trial? check
cleric AND tank go ld in middle of trial? check
server crash in middle of trial? check
4 non-mezz rocks spawn in one wave? check
and i cant count the number of times my group would be next in rotation to do the trial only to have group doing it succeed and no one want to wait around for the 30 minutes for it to be doable again

Halfling mask was tedious and ranks pretty high in my memory of time spent camping an item (at least in terms of one I actually completed). I camped it with my bard sometime after the Planes of Power expansion came out, and I was in a pretty small guild so my gear wasn't the best. Took forever to kill each PH (beatdown, mez/heal, rinse repeat etc etc.). But I had kept a pretty accurate list of each placeholder and each drop etc. If I recall, the mask finally dropped somewhere in the 1100 range of placeholders... *cringe* I wasn't so lucky it seems.

But the all-time worst camp for me was that damned Goblin Alchemist in the Gorge for the monk Treant Fist quest. I spent years camping that thing (usually in blocks of 6 hours at a time). Over the years better items came available with the newer expansions, but I always wanted to finish that quest just out of principle. It was never to be. So from 1999 until 2006... that Goblin Alchemist eluded me *shakes his fist*
