ae stun with 50-100 damage on it would be perfect imo. even the 30 sec recast timer. make it a aa not a spell so dont have to loose a spell gem to a 30 sec recast spell. i have talked to alot of pallys that would love a ae stun. if we could get that id be a happy pally.

are we having that 100 page thread again on "Paladins version of ae agro is Group heals, thus they dont need any more ae agro abilities".....cuz if so, theres always 1 important detail that is forgotten.

AE Taunt/Agro abilities are a Detrimental ability. Its directed toward a mob(s) and usually when a mob is targeted saying you want to get that mob + his buddies attention.

Group Heals are BENEFICIAL abilities that are designed to keep people alive, not draw attention.

Unfortunately for us, we have never been given the opportunity like clerics have to have agro reducing abilities to our heals, which kinda keeps us from just spam group healing all the time in raids. This is where skills come into play. But that is when we are being the Support Paladin, not the tank paladin.

Try this sometime: walk into an area where there are mobs u can kill, ur dubious but not threateninly. In other words u can stand there uninvised safely. Now cast a group heal and see if u agro anything. Then picture urself as a war or sk and u hit AE taunt. Compare the 2.

I used to be against ae aggro, then tier 3 zones came out. I think they will be there again next expansion and I think its needed in the group game now.

Just because i like reviving months' old topics...

Anyway, I started reading through all this, but it became more bickering than was worth reading, so I hope this idea hasn't already been stated.

I would like an AE agro disc, something that really puts a drain on our endurance that we have no real use for. I don't have the numbers worked out, but something that would take over half the total endurance of a well equipped paladin. The idea is that with something like a 3-5 minute reuse timer, it would unable to be used all the time during raids, so a paladin would have to time its use for something important since getting the endurance back would take along time. But in a group situation, a paladin could use it much more frequently since getting the OOC timer and endurance back would be much quicker.

Of course, give the same thing to the SK's, make it a knight disc that finally gives us a reason to look at our endurance bar once in a while.
